About Me

Crismeily is a self taught artist who explores the fluctuation of life through a fluid, sometimes unpredictable, method of painting. By layering a mixture of acrylic paint, pouring medium and silicone oil, she’s able to use a palette knife to create multicolored cells in her abstract paintings to bring it to life. Crismeily routinely depicts black women, nature and connection (in its many iterations) in her work.
Art is her medication, her meditation and, at times, her church.
When she’s not painting, or otherwise creating art, Crismeily works as a civil rights and personal injury attorney. Born in the Caribbean, she currently resides in New York City.
